Transit visa
This type of visa is for transit travellers only. Holders of this type of visa may not be gainfully employed in Thailand.
Tourist visa
Validity of visa
Single and double entry visas must be used within 90 days of the date of issuance.
Duration of stay in Thailand
Upon entry with a tourist visa, a stay of 60 days will be granted. For passport holders of most countries, this visa can be extended 1 time only for a maximum of 30 days at an Immigration Bureau. Holders of this type of visa may not be gainfully employed in Thailand.
Non-immigrant visas
Validity of visa
Single entry non-immigrant visas must be used within 90 days of the date of issuance.
Multiple entry non-immigrant visas must be used within 1 year of the date of issuance.
Duration of stay in Thailand
Upon entry with a non-immigrant visa, the immigration officer at the entry point will grant a 90 day stay. This is the initial duration of stay for this type of visa. For an extension of stay beyond 90 days, travelers may
submit an application at an Immigration Bureau.
